Fatima Zaidi

Fatima Zaidi has had over nine years of experience in Business Development, Marketing, and Strategy. Her expertise in sales effectiveness, and partnerships led her to the role as VP of Business Development for Eighty-Eight, a Toronto-based creative communications agency. Prior to Eighty-Eight she was Head of Business Development at retail company Rent Frock Repeat (who were on Dragons Den in Season 7) and was responsible for the overall management of all strategic business development, marketing, and customer relationship activities nationwide. Fatima is a commentator for Global News, chair for the DYPB conference, and content writer for BetaKit, and Huffington Post. She was named Marketing Magazines top 30 under 30 marketers and brand developers for 2016.

Barney oversees all aspects of the global sneaker brand, having taken over as President at the beginning of 2016. In the past 24 months Waters focus has been to bring the 50-year-old brand back to prominence and profitability by driving fast change both internally and externally. Prior to his current role, Mr. Waters was the CMO at parent company KSGB, overseeing brand strategy for KSGB͛s portfolio of footwear brands including K-Swiss, Palladium and Supra. Barney has also been Vice President of Marketing for Palladium, overseeing the brand͛s global re-launch and all aspects of brand communication. Prior to Palladium Mr. Waters was based in Boston as Vice President of Marketing for PUMA North America during the brands’ explosive growth period. Now based in new offices in DTLA, Mr. Waters is originally from London, England and has been in the footwear industry for 15 years.

Peter Maoloni lead the growth of Interac e-Transfer earing many different hats, from start-up at CertaPay to Canada’s leading P2P payment brand. He continues to bring his expertise in technology and payments to help drive best-in-class solutions for digital money movement not only in Canada but around the world, helping both developed and emerging markets build easier payment capabilities for their citizens.


Connor Blakley is an entrepreneur, speaker, author, and founder of YouthLogic. YouthLogic is a youth marketing consultancy that specializes in blending creativity, new technology, and psychology with media to help brands better understand, connect with, and engage Generation Z. He has been featured in Forbes, Business Insider, CBS, and more.



Manu (Swish) Goswami is a 19 year old sophomore from Toronto, Canada studying at the University of Toronto. He is an award winning serial tech entrepreneur and innovator, UN Youth Ambassador, Huffington Post contributor, early stage tech investor, LinkedIn campus editor, social media personality and TEDx speaker. Swish is one of the world’s youngest venture capitalist as a Business Development Associate at JB Fitzgerald Venture Capital. In his role, he has consulted with Fortune 500 companies on promoting investments in the digital media space. Kim is the co-founder and Chief Evangelist of Blank – a ground-breaking technology that builds apps automatically without code, thus making app development available to everyone. She’s a social media influencer, a professional speaker, a fitness enthusiast and a startup veteran with a  successful exit under her belt. Her passion for Blank comes from her frustration in finding a technical partner during the early phases of her first software startup. Alongside the team at Blank, she’s working to level the playing field so that anyone with an idea and the ambition to make it happen has the tools they need to do so.




Connor Beaton is the founder of ManTalks, an international organization focused on men’s health, wellness, success and fulfillment. Connor is also an international speaker, podcast host and lifestyle entrepreneur. Before founding ManTalks, Connor worked with Apple leading high performance sales and operations teams. Since founding ManTalks, Connor has spoken on stage at TEDx, with Lewis Howes, Gary Vaynerchuk, Danielle LaPorte, taken ManTalks to over a dozen cities internationally and has been featured on platforms like Forbes, Huffington Post, HeForShe, The Good Men Project, UN Women, CBC and the National Post.

How and when do I register?

You can purchase tickets from our Eventbrite page here.

When will I get my confirmation/receipt for the conference?

Your confirmation/receipt will be e-mailed to you immediately upon your online registration.

When and how will I get my tickets?

Electronic tickets (e-tickets) will be e-mailed to you immediately after your online purchase. The e-mail will include your confirmation number, receipt and tickets in PDF format to download and print.

When you arrive, please provide a printed copy of your e-ticket along with government issued photo identification to gain access to the conference. If you do not receive an e-ticket please contact us immediately at  If you have registered as a student you must present your student ID to gain access to your seat.

Will I be assigned a seat or is it first come, first served seating?

Student Package and Balcony seating for the conference is assigned on a first come, first seated basis.

VIP ticket holders will have a reserved section beginning in the 3rd row. Seating within this section will still be on a first come, first seated basis.

 Are there discounts for groups?

Can you provide groups with reserved seating?

What is the cancellation policy?

If you are unable to attend, tickets may be transferred to another person or to a future conference. Leverage Events Inc. reserves the right to cancel a conference prior to the start date or delay the start date due to low enrolment, speaker availability or other uncontrollable circumstances. Tickets are non-refundable.

Is lunch included with my ticket?

If you’ve purchased the VIP package, lunch and access to the after party is included.

 There will be concession stands at the Sony Centre with light food and drinks open for the duration of the event. There are also a number of restaurants and places to eat nearby.

Please note that the conference will resume at 1:30pm SHARP, therefore it is strongly suggested that you allow adequate timing for your meal order.

Will the speakers’ books be available for sale?

Details will be released closer to the date.

What should I bring with me?

Have your elevator pitch ready and bring a notepad, pen and business cards are also suggested, as not only will there be lots of information for you to retain, this conference will also prove to be a great networking opportunity.

What is the recommended attire for the conference?

Business casual, or whatever you feel your best in!

Will there be a chance to network with my peers?

Yes, numerous breaks throughout the day that will prove to be valuable networking opportunities.
